Len’s practice is focused on commercial, energy and securities litigation. He also has significant legal expertise related to telecommunications, oil and gas, dispute resolution, and directors’ and officers’ liability. 

He has extensive experience representing overseas clients and working with U.S.-based counsel.

Len regularly appears before Alberta courts, regulatory boards and tribunals, including the Energy Resources Conservation Board. He has also made numerous appearances before the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Len was appointed to the Queen’s Counsel in 1989.

Experience

  • Acted as lead counsel in disputes on behalf of corporations that include: BP Energy, ATCO Electric, Shore Gold, Enerplus Corporation, Paramount Energy Trust, Shell Canada, Suncor Energy, and South Yukon Forest Corporation
