Keon is returning to BLG as an articling student in the firm’s Toronto office for the 2023/24 term. He is focusing on business law.

As a law student, Keon worked as an intellectual property research assistant, served as chair of the Windsor Law Lloyd Dean Moot, assisted the Windsor Law admissions committee as a student representative, and completed an externship at the Windsor-Essex Bilingual Legal Clinic. Keon also competed in the 2022 Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot and received the Gordon F. Henderson Award for drafting the best appellant factum. For Keon’s contributions to Windsor Law, he was recognized with the J.W. Whiteside Award.

Prior to law school, Keon completed his Master of Science in neuroscience. Keon’s research focused on early detection of cognitive impairments related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and frontotemporal dementia using rodents inserted with human TDP-43 protein.

Keon chose to work at BLG because of the firm’s commitment to inclusion, mentorship, and excellent client service. Keon also values BLG’s emphasis on student development.

In Keon’s spare time, he enjoys staying active by working out, bouldering and golfing with friends.
