Emily Milana

Étudiante

Toronto

Emily is an Articling Student at BLG’s Toronto office for the 2022-2023 term and she is focusing on business law.

As a law student, Emily was the President of the Queen’s Real Estate Law Association, the Student Coach of the Queen’s Law Davies Corporate and Securities Moot team, and a volunteer for Pro Bono Students Canada. Emily also received the Queen’s Law Course Prize in Insolvency Restructuring for achieving the highest grade in the course.

Prior to attending law school, Emily completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto specializing in political science and international relations. During her studies, Emily worked as a Sales Professional at a luxury jewellery retailer and as an intern assistant at a prominent architectural firm in Toronto.

Emily chose to work at BLG because of the firm’s collaborative and collegial culture. During the summer recruitment process, Emily was able to engage with a number of BLG lawyers and students. She was impressed by their remarks on the student experience and the exposure that students are able to have to a variety of different practice areas.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys attending concerts and music festivals, fitness training, and catching up on reality television shows.
