Bunisha is an articling student returning to BLG’s Toronto office for the 2023-2024 term.

At Osgoode, Bunisha led the Black Law Students’ Association as President, was a research assistant for the Associate Dean (Students) and the Assistant Dean, Students and competed in the International Criminal Court Moot, where she was awarded for her memorial. She completed an intensive placement at Parkdale Community Legal Services and is a former Associate Editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. Bunisha also planned one of the first legal mentorship programs for Black high school students, in partnership with Canada’s largest school board.

Prior to joining BLG, Bunisha worked at one of Canada’s leading banks and as an independent consultant helping institutional clients integrate more inclusive policies.

Bunisha was drawn to BLG by the opportunity to be intellectually stimulated and professionally supported by the incredible people at the firm and its diverse practice areas.

Bunisha is an avid eater and cook, who enjoys travelling with the accompaniment of a good book, dancing and watching the Champions League.
