Jacqueline Yan

Jacqueline is an articling student at the BLG Vancouver office. She rejoins the firm after working at BLG as a summer student in 2020. Her primary focus is on business law.

At law school, Jacqueline was an Allard Law Ambassador, Student Coordinator for the Hoop-Law Charity Basketball Tournament, and Clinician with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program. Jacqueline participated in the Corporate Counsel Externship and worked in the in-house legal team of an IT management consulting firm. Prior to joining BLG, she also worked at WorkSafeBC as a Review Officer Student Intern.

Jacqueline was attracted to BLG due to the collegial work environment at the Vancouver office and the summer program’s emphasis on exploring a diverse range of practice areas. She ultimately chose to work at BLG after making strong connections with lawyers at every level of the firm during the recruitment process, ranging from junior associates all the way up to partners.

In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys exploring the outdoors hiking, practicing yoga, and searching for new books to add to her reading list.
