Please join us on Monday, June 25, when representatives of the Department of Finance, Bank of Canada, and Payments Canada will be in our offices as part of the Department of Finance’s consultation on the Canadian Payments Act. The Consultation Paper, which is available online, is seeking input on whether the 2015 governance changes to Payments Canada have been effective in achieving the intended public policy objectives of efficiency, safety and soundness, and user interests. Feedback is also sought on how best to adapt Payments Canada's membership structure to ensure access to its systems is open and risk-based, and reflects developments in the payments ecosystem.
