What do they mean for Occupiers?
On December 8, 2020, Bill 118 (Occupiers' Liability Amendment Act, 2020) received Royal Assent. It came into force on January 29, 2021. The amendments import a new notice provision into the Occupiers’ Liability Act for winter maintenance claims. This seminar will focus on the amendments and how courts may interpret and apply the amendments going forward.
