In CI Financial Corp.’s acquisition of Sentry Investments Corp., Jeff Barnes (Securities and Capital Markets) acted for Sentry’s Independent Directors in a deal valued at $780 million in cash and stock, merging two of Canada’s largest independent asset managers.
