BLG implements iManage as new platform for document management

Cloud-based system offers enhanced collaboration and mobility

Toronto (February 24, 2020) — BLG today goes live with iManage Cloud, the firm’s new document and email management system. iManage provides a foundational platform to BLG’s practice of law, bringing significant benefits to the firm’s 2000 users across Canada, including greater mobility, collaboration and knowledge, so that they can be more responsive to client needs. “BLG has embarked on an overarching strategy we call BLG Beyond to be more agile and responsive as a firm,” said Lisa Chamandy, Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer. “With iManage, we are driving our ability to be a ‘digital first’ law firm and to share share electronic matter files seamlessly, which will all ultimately drive a better client experience.”

BLG chose iManage for its modern and secure IT architecture, and its user-friendly interface that allows professionals to work securely from any device, at any time and from any location.

Rob Morris, Chief Operating and Information Officer at BLG added, “iManage Cloud is another step forward in BLG’s technology transformation, prioritizing client needs and improving overall efficiency. It comes on the heels of the 2019 launch of RelativityOne for eDiscovery and big data analytics, the introduction of electronic closings and e-signatures, document automation, and many other productivity tools to maximize service delivery.”

Said Neil Araujo, CEO, iManage, “We are delighted that BLG is now live with iManage Cloud and benefiting from improved productivity and user experience for end users and clients. We worked closely with the BLG in-house team who spearheaded much of the design and implementation to deliver on their business transformation goal.”

“BLG’s success in delivering these innovations is largely the result of our exceptional in-house team of Knowledge and Innovation Lawyers, consultants, project managers, IT professionals, and our strategic partnerships. We are now offering this type of support to our clients who are embarking on their own digital transformations and want to leverage our experience,” says Rob Morris.
