Toronto (February 26, 2020) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) proudly announces that partner Christine Pallotta, formerly the national leader of our Intellectual Property Litigation focus group, has been appointed a Judge of the Federal Court.

Christine studied law at University of Toronto, graduating in 1995 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree (Honours, Biology) from Queen’s University. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1997 and joined BLG in 2011, quickly making a name for herself as a leading professional in many areas of intellectual property law and litigation.

“This appointment reflects the professionalism and integrity Christine has shown throughout her career,” says John Murphy, BLG’s National Managing Partner and CEO. “Christine’s vast experience as a litigator, and her sharp mind, will serve her well in this new position.”

Christine has acted as counsel for numerous companies in many aspects of patent, copyright and trademark litigation. She is involved in IP organizations including the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, where she co-founded the Women in IP Networking Group.
