Maddie Axelrod is a management-side labour and employment lawyer in BLG’s Toronto office. Her practice includes employment, labour, human rights, and education law.
Maddie’s hybrid practice comprises both advice-based solicitor work and advocacy-based litigation work. Maddie also focuses on executive compensation for hospitals, school boards, and other broader public sector organizations.
Within her practice, Maddie acts for private and public sector employers in a variety of issues, including employee terminations, discipline, restrictive covenants and employment standards. Her expertise also extends to contracts and policies, health and safety, collective bargaining, unfair labour practice complaints, and human rights applications.
Maddie summered and articled with BLG, and returned as an associate following her call to the bar.
