Gautam has a robust corporate commercial practice with a focus on large infrastructure projects.

Gautam has experience in all aspects of infrastructure projects across a range of project delivery models, including public-private partnerships. He regularly acts for both proponents and lenders on project finance transactions and advises clients on secondary market public-private partnership transactions.

Gautam drafts, reviews and negotiates project finance documents, procurement documents and project agreements.

Gautam provides legal services through a Law Corporation.

  • Site C Clean Energy Project (British Columbia) – counsel to BC Hydro on various aspects of this multi-billion dollar clean energy project in British Columbia.
  • Indigenous Community Infrastructure Initiative – counsel to the Canada Infrastructure Bank on various aspects of this $1 billion initiative to finance projects that will help address the infrastructure gap in Indigenous communities.
  • Counsel to a mining company on various aspects of a multi-billion gold and copper mining project in Greece which utilized an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contracting structure.
  • Counsel to the successful proponent on the construction and financing of a wastewater treatment plant in Alberta.
  • Counsel to a lender on financing of a district energy utility project in British Columbia.
  • Counsel to a lender on the development of an urban reserve in Saskatchewan.
  • Counsel to a lender on a wastewater treatment plant project in Saskatchewan.
  • Counsel to a lender on financing of broadband infrastructure in Alberta.
  • Counsel to a lender on a solar energy project in Alberta.
  • Counsel to a lender on a hydroelectricity project in Yukon.
  • Counsel to lenders on financing of residential care facilities in British Columbia.
  • Counsel to a shipping terminal operator on various commercial contracts.
  • Residential Developments – Counsel for various owners and contractors in their design and construction of residential development projects, including drafting procurement documents and supplementary conditions to various CCDC documents.
  • BC Children’s and BC Women’s Redevelopment Project Phase 2 (British Columbia) – counsel to a client in the sale of its equity on this hospital project in British Columbia.
  • Gilcrease Expressway West Project (Oklahoma) – counsel to the successful proponent on all aspects of the private activity bond financing solution on this highway project in Oklahoma.
  • Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project (British Columbia) – counsel to a consortium on its bid submission on this bridge replacement project in British Columbia.
  • Schools Project (Alberta) – counsel to a bidder on its bid submission for a schools project in Alberta.
  • 20MW Musselshell Wind Projects (Montana) – counsel to Potentia Renewables Inc. on the financing of its acquisition of the 20 MW Musselshell Wind Projects in Montana.
