As a general commercial law practitioner, Chris focuses his practice in the areas of public-private partnerships, procurement and infrastructure.

His expertise includes:

  • drafting, negotiating and reviewing public-private partnerships, design-build, integrated project delivery, construction, consulting, supply and related agreements
  • working with project technical (engineering and architectural) teams to review and integrate specifications with the other contract documents

Chris also has also acted as counsel in construction and general commercial litigation

In 2006-2007, Chris completed a one-year secondment with the BC Hydro legal department, where he was primarily involved in major capital procurement.

Christopher provides legal services through a Law Corporation.

Experience

  • Counsel for the Authority on Surrey Pre-trial Services Centre – Expansion Project and Okanagan Correctional Centre Public Private Partnership Projects.
  • Counsel for BC Hydro on supply and deployment agreements for BC Hydro’s Smart Metering & Infrastructure Project.
  • Counsel for BC Hydro in respect of its multi-billion dollar Site C Clean Energy Project and John Hart Generating Station Replacement Project.
  • Negotiating and reviewing Public-Private Partnership contracts, including Edmonton LRT Valley Line Project, the Golden Ears Bridge and Highway Project, the Kicking Horse Pass Bridge and Highway Project, and the Britannia Water Treatment Plant Project.
