Amélie practices mainly in commercial litigation and specializes in the fields of competition law, advertisement and marketing, extraordinary recourses, shareholder disputes, fraud and intellectual property. She prepares documentation used in trials and pleads before various judicial bodies in Québec.

Amélie also acts in various class actions and has a special interest for litigation regarding false or misleading representations in the advertisement and marketing of consumer goods, particularly claims related to:

  • telecommunications
  • food law
  • health

Since 2011, Amélie has been involved in the activities of the Young Chamber of Commerce of Montreal. She was on the Board of Directors acting as secretary from 2013 to 2016 and as the Chair of the Board from 2016 to 2018. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Fondation de la Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal since 2016.

Amélie sits on the Board of the École de Cirque de Verdun, the Foundation of Stars and the Canadian Association for Food Law And Policy.

Amélie is also involved with Pour 3 Points since 2018 and has participated in organizing the Canadian Association for Food Law and Policy’s annual conference since 2016. In addition, she serves as supervising lawyer for McGill’s Food and Agriculture Law Clinic.

Since 2017, Amélie has served as a lecturer for the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés. She gives a number of training sessions annually on the legal obligations of directors of not-for-profit organizations.

Amélie also completed a clerkship in 2010-2011 under the direction of Justices Pierre C. Gagnon and Michèle Monast from the Superior Court of Québec.

  • A mediation in a shareholders' dispute in the field of sanitary landfill

  • Amélie was also deeply involved in the case of The Queen v. Luka Rocco Magnotta, accompanying the victim's family throughout the trial
