Christine’s practice focuses on financing and insolvency transactions. She represents lenders and borrowers in domestic, cross-border and international financing transactions. This includes:

  • bilateral and syndicated loans
  • acquisition financing
  • project financing
  • asset-based lending
  • real estate and condominium financing

She also acts for creditors, debtors, court officers and other stakeholders in restructuring and insolvency matters.

Experience

  • Advised Day & Zimmermann of Canada Corporation, a provider of construction, engineering, maintenance, staffing, and defense solutions, on its strategic acquisition  of EMC Power Canada Ltd., provides specialized construction management and multi-discipline trade services for transmission and generation power sector clients.
  • Acting for MNP LLP in its capacity as monitor in the CCAA proceedings of TribalScale, a software engineering and development firm that provides digital product strategy, design and development services, including creating enterprise software solutions for large institutional clients in Canada and the United States.
  • Represented Canada Enterprise Emergency Funding Corporation in connection with $700 million LEEFF loans to Transat A.T. Inc.
  • Represented Canada Enterprise Emergency Funding Corporation in connection with $375 million LEEFF loans to Sunwing Vacations Inc. and Sunwing Airlines Inc.
  • ABW Partnership in the debt financing related to its acquisition of a collection of solar projects from First Solar, Inc.
  • Nutrasource Diagnostics Inc. with its acquisition of the business and assets of Diteba Research Laboratories.
  • KPMG Inc. in its capacity as court-appointed liquidator of the business in Canada of Maple Bank GmbH and its assets.
