Masuma formerly summered with BLG Calgary and assisted lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.

As a law student, Masuma served as Chair of the Manitoba Law Students Association’s Constitution and Policy Committee. She is passionate about community involvement and volunteers at Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council and Welcome Place. Masuma continued working full-time as a document analyst while attending law school. She also worked as a research assistant for the Human Rights Department at Robson Hall and has held several positions in the healthcare sector.

Masuma chose to work at BLG due to the firm’s commitment to excellence and client-focused approach. BLG fosters a collaborative environment, encourages asking questions, and empowers students to learn under the guidance of leading lawyers in the country. After meeting with members of the firm during the recruitment process, it became clear to Masuma that BLG would be an ideal workplace as the firm’s culture supports growth and provides great student experience.

Masuma loves to travel and explore various cultures and cuisines. In her spare time, she enjoys playing squash, tennis, and doing outdoor yoga, watching movies, and discovering new restaurants and cafes with family and friends.
