Kay is a corporate lawyer with a broad practice advising Indigenous communities and their businesses on corporate and commercial matters across the country.

Kay’s expertise includes advising on on-reserve economic development, corporate governance, contracting matters and acquisitions. She advises clients on investment in renewable energy and natural resource projects, and the creation of industry partnerships. She also works to negotiate and implement Impact Benefit Agreements.

Prior to joining BLG, Kay practiced corporate and securities law with a large national firm in Calgary, and at a boutique Indigenous law firm in Toronto and Yellowknife. She is a member of the bars of Alberta, Ontario and the Northwest Territories.
