Najma is an articling student at BLG’S Toronto office. She is focusing on Disputes.

As a law student, Najma was a Divisional Leader at Osgoode’s Community Legal Aid and Services Program (CLASP). She advocated for low-income clients charged with criminal offences at the Ontario Court of Justice. She also volunteered with the Black Business Law Clinic and Law in Action within Schools (LAWS). Prior to joining BLG, Najma worked for various non-for-profit community organizations in Ottawa including Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre and the Elizabeth Fry Society.

Najma chose to work at BLG because of the firm’s commitment to providing students with meaningful exposure to a wide range of litigation-related practice areas. She was also drawn to BLG’s tradition of pro bono services. It was clear that Najma could balance her interests in disputes and community leadership at BLG.

In her free time, Najma enjoys sewing, trying new foods and spending time with her family.
