Robert D. Wallis  

Robert Wallis is an associate in our Securities and Capital Markets Group in our Vancouver office.  Robert’s practice is focused on securities and corporate law, with an emphasis on corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, mining and investment management.

Robert acts for public and private companies and underwriters in connection with mergers & acquisitions, initial public offerings, secondary public offerings and private placement transitions.  He also advises companies on general corporate matters, disclosure obligations and corporate governance matters.

In addition, Robert acts for investment fund managers, advisors and dealers in connection with the formation, management and operation of public and private investment funds in Canada, and the offering of their securities in public offerings and private placements.

• Acted for a major Canadian gold-producing mining company in its $2.5-billion acquisition of a precious metals development company.
• Acted for a Canadian copper mining company in connection with a $100-million private equity financing.
