On May 31, 2017, Pan American Silver Corp.'s subsidiary, Minera Triton Argentina S.A., purchased the Cap-Oeste Sur Este project located in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina from Patagonia Gold Plc's subsidiary, Patagonia Gold S.A. The total consideration was US$15 million, of which US$7.5 million was deferred, plus a 1.5% net smelter returns royalty.
Pan American, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, is one of the largest primary silver producers in the world.
