On July 31, 2017, NextBlock Global Limited, a cutting-edge venture capital company, announced that it has raised approximately C$20 million in its first round of financing. NextBlock will invest in crypto-currencies, blockchain hosting platforms and blockchain-based applications. NextBlock is one of the first entities in the world through which investors will be able to invest in a cross-section of blockchain-based digital assets.
