Tamara has a multi-disciplinary civil litigation practice, which includes the defence of third-party automobile and commercial general liability claims. 

She advises and represents insurers on:

  • statutory accident benefit matters, with a focus on catastrophic injury claims
  • casualty and property matters, including third-party motor vehicle claims and occupiers' liability claims
  • disability claim matters, including interpretation of disability contracts

Her practice includes the defence of municipal liability and disability insurance claims and advising on claims against municipalities involving maintenance and design of roadways and sidewalks.

She also advises insurance and municipal clients on a matters including statutory interpretation (i.e., Municipal Act, City of Toronto Act, Negligence Act, Insurance Act and Limitations Act). 

Tamara is chair of BLG's Diversity and Inclusion Council.

  • Thiruchelvam and ACE/INA, FSCO A14-00619, December 18, 2017 - Arbitration matter involving an application for statutory accident benefits arising from a pedestrian/motor vehicle accident. Dismissed in its entirety.
