Victoria is an articling student at BLG’s Toronto office focusing on health, business, and tort law.

As a law student, Victoria received a double specialization in health and business law, and participated in the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Law Moot. She worked in IP commercialization for the Nova Scotia Health Authority drafting licensing agreements, evaluating medical innovations for patentability, and served a fellowship with the Dalhousie Health Law Institute. Her background in public policy supported her role as President of the Public Policy and Law Society organizing panels with lawmakers. Throughout her degree, Victoria volunteered for the Elizabeth Fry Society record suspension clinic.

Prior to law school, Victoria obtained her Master of Science in Global Health. She applied her public health background to work for Ontario Health in cancer care program design, and later, conducted research analysis of international laws and agreements for a congressional advocacy organization in Washington DC. This passion for public health culminated in serving as the Executive Director for a not-for-profit advancing healthcare quality improvement internationally.

Victoria chose BLG for its broad range of legal expertise and practice areas. She was also drawn to BLG because of the supportive, collaborative environment and the firm’s focus on student learning.

In her spare time, Victoria enjoys playing music in bands as a percussionist, and supporting the local arts community. As the previous VP of Dalhousie’s Hiking Society, she also loves exploring new trails outside the city and maintaining an active lifestyle.
