On January 31, 2017, Horizon Utilities Corporation, PowerStream Inc. and Enersource Hydro Mississauga Inc. merged to form Alectra Utilities Corporation. The amalgamated entity completed the acquisition of Hydro One Brampton Networks Inc. on February 28, 2017.
Alectra Utilities Corporation has an enterprise value in excess of $3 billion, and is the largest municipally-owned electricity utility in Canada serving approximately one million homes and businesses.
