Philippe Boisvert becomes President of Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP)

Montréal (February 21, 2023) – Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) Counsel Philippe Boisvert is the new President of Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP).

Philippe has a broad commercial practice encompassing complex domestic and cross-border disputes, notably in the fields of construction and infrastructure and in the enforcement of arbitral awards in Canada. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), he regularly represents clients before all judicial bodies in Québec and arbitration tribunals (both domestic and international), after practising in Europe for a number of years.

Today, Philippe becomes President of YCAP after serving as a board member since 2020.

About Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners

YCAP was launched by a group of young Canadian arbitration practitioners in 2004. It comprises approximately 200 members in Canada and around the world. Its mission is to promote interest in and understanding of international arbitration, particularly in Canada, among young lawyers and other interested young professionals, as well as to provide them with professional development opportunities and networking opportunities (source: YCAP).
