Lia is a summer student at BLG’s Toronto office for the 2023 summer term. She is focusing on disputes law.

As a law student, Lia currently serves as the Black Law Students’ Association President, is a research assistant at the Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University, and is a bilingual editor for the inaugural Black Canadian Law Journal with the Law Faculty at McGill University. Prior to joining BLG, Lia worked as a French educator at one of Canada’s largest school boards and as a policy research assistant at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto.

Lia chose BLG to begin her legal training after learning about the firm's innovative strategies to developing legal solutions. Lia knew she wanted to join the BLG team for its inclusive environment and leadership in diversity.

When Lia is not studying, you can find her reading a new book, going to the gym, or trying new cuisines with family and friends.
