Olivier’s practice is focused on corporate finance, secured transactions, restructuring and the regulation of financial institutions. Olivier represents financial institutions, including banks, and borrowers in connection with:

  • private and public financing
  • project financing
  • syndicated and cross-border loans
  • alternative financing through asset-based lending
  • leasing
  • structured finance

Olivier also provides advice on various issues relating to the regulation of financial institutions.

In 2003-2004, Olivier served as law clerk to the Honourable Madam Justice Marie Deschamps of the Supreme Court of Canada.

  • Lead counsel to The Toronto-Dominion Bank in connection with the syndicated credit facilities of Bell Canada.
  • Lead counsel to Royal Bank of Canada in connection with the syndicated secured credit facilities of Dollarama.
  • Lead counsel to The Toronto-Dominion Bank in connection with the syndicated cross-border secured credit facilities of Vision7 International.
  • Lead counsel to National Bank of Canada in connection with secured credit facilities of several portfolio companies of Namakor Holdings.
