As a Summer Law Student, Jayden is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
Prior to attending law school, Jayden received a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Governance and a Master of Arts in Geography from the University of Guelph. During her undergrad, she completed various internships, including a summer in Thailand supporting agriculture and education projects, and a summer in Toronto with the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario completing policy research. She advocated for her community, spending four years involved in student advocacy, focusing on environmental sustainability and education on campus sexual violence. During her first two years of law school, she participated in Pro Bono Students Canada, the Canadian Journal for Human Rights, and the Feminist Legal Forum. In the summer of 2022, she helped to establish the Rights Clinic at Robson Hall. She is actively involved in the Robson Hall community, participating in the Manitoba Law Students Association (MLSA) committees and event planning. She is the MLSA president for the 2023-2024 school year, representing all Manitoba law students.
Jayden chose to work at BLG because of the firm’s commitment to growth, excellence, and mentorship. After speaking to current and past students, Jayden was confident BLG would be the right place for her. Its friendly and supportive staff made Jayden feel at home and made her excited for her future with the firm.
Jayden enjoys baking, cooking, reading, gardening, and embroidering (when she can find the time).
