Kennedy is a returning articling student at BLG’s Toronto Office. She is focusing on disputes law.
As a law student, Kennedy actively pursued opportunities in clinical legal education, academic research, and legal publishing. She served as a Student Case Worker at the Queen’s Business Law Clinic, where she provided legal assistance to start-ups, charities, and not-for-profits on matters involving corporate governance, incorporation, contract drafting, and intellectual property. She also volunteered with the Queen’s Legal Aid Clinic and the Queen’s Law Journal, supporting client files, conducting legal research, and assisting with the editing of legal publications. Most recently, she worked as a Research Assistant, conducting comparative legal research in Canadian, UK, and U.S. negligence law to support the publication of a scholarly article for legal practitioners.
Kennedy chose BLG because she admired the firm’s culture, innovation, and strong focus on student development. The connections she formed during the recruitment process confirmed her decision to join the team.
Outside of work, Kennedy enjoys trying new restaurants, travelling, and baking her acclaimed carrot cake.
