Panels will include:
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Research tells us that diversity and inclusion are business imperatives and critical to innovation and better performance. So what are successful organizations doing about it? How do you build a culture of inclusion? What are some of the barriers to advancing diversity and inclusion? How do you measure your success? This panel will explore these issues and provide concrete and practical tips on how to advance diversity and inclusion in your workplace.
General Counsel and the Board
This presentation will address the multiplicity of roles assumed by general counsel and the tension that can exist as a result of their relationship to the board and senior management versus their legal, ethical and professional duties. The presentation will consider how general counsel can address being caught, at times, between competing interests and still maintain their independence from various corporate constituents and will also review the role of general counsel as risk managers. Following the formal presentation, we will host a panel discussion/Q&A on challenges routinely faced by general counsels in carrying out their duties.
Ethics in Negotiations
Have you ever dealt with an unresponsive or aggressive party when trying to close a deal? What tactics are permissible to gain an advantage in the negotiations? In this session, you will review and discuss fact scenarios with your colleagues involving ethical dilemmas in negotiations.
