Toronto (May 11, 2017) — Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that it has been named a leading litigation firm in the 2017 edition of Benchmark Canada — The Definitive Guide to Canada's Leading Litigation Firms & Attorneys. The firm congratulates the 61 BLG lawyers who were recognized as litigation stars and the 9 lawyers who were highlighted as future stars in the guide.
The firm was highly recommended, the highest level of recognition, in each of the provinces it operates in — Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Québec. Benchmark notes that BLG has “undergone a massive renaissance, growing stronger all across the board” with "bench strength in all of their offices".
Benchmark also named Guy Pratte one of the Top 50 Trial Lawyers in Canada. Guy, a partner in BLG's Commercial Litigation Group, appears frequently before the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before the Superior Courts and Courts of Appeal of Ontario and Québec, the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal of Canada. Additionally, this year's guide features a Q&A with John Blair, National Head of Commercial Litigation, and Cindy Clarke, National Head of Specialized Litigation, in which the duo share insights into BLG's litigation practice, as well as trends in litigation in Canada.
BLG has a leading dispute resolution practice with a strong reputation in commercial and tort litigation, regulatory investigations and hearings, class actions, and arbitration.
