Justine is a senior associate in our Commercial Litigation group in our Montréal office and has been at the firm since 2019. She advises and defends companies of all sizes on a variety of civil and commercial dispute cases before the Court of Québec and the Superior Court of Québec.
She shows a marked and sustained interest for defamation, damage to reputation and brand protection issues, where she acts on behalf of both companies and public figures, often in sensitive and high-profile cases. She is also regularly called upon to intervene for extraordinary remedies, including injunction-related, and is known for her strategic judgment and ability to act effectively in urgent and complex situations.
Since arriving at BLG, Justine has completed two secondments with a major Canadian telecommunications company, which allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the legal and operational issues specific to large organizations and to adopt a resolutely pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
Appreciated for her thoroughness, availability, and human approach, Justine maintains lasting and trusting relationships with her clients, who regularly highlight her commitment, clarity, and keen sense of priorities.
Highly committed to the firm, she is actively involved in pro bono work, thus demonstrating her dedication to access to justice, most notably in a major civil remedy case involving allegations of police brutality.
