Toronto (September 15, 2021) — To recognize her work as a trailblazer and leading lawyer in privacy law, BLG partner Éloïse Gratton has been named one of Canada’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers of 2021 by Canadian Lawyer magazine, in the Business category.
Éloïse is an internationally renowned privacy pioneer and is the National Co-Leader of the firm’s Privacy & Data Protection Group. Her standout career has led her to be recognized as one of the top privacy lawyers in Canada. Éloïse was previously selected as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers by Canadian Lawyer magazine in 2016.
Recently, Éloïse was appointed as Member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Innovations & IP Committee and was selected by the Government of Canada as a member of the COVID-19 Exposure Notification App Advisory Council. On the provincial scene, she was appointed last summer by the Québec government as an expert to assist the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MHSS) in its mandate to review the legal framework applicable to the management and protection of health and social services information.
