Piper practises in the areas of municipal and land use planning law and expropriations. Piper provides advice to both public and private sector clients and appears frequently at the Ontario Land Tribunal on both planning and expropriation cases. Piper also has experience in municipal matters before the Ontario Superior Court, Divisional Court, and Ontario Court of Appeal.

Piper has successfully represented clients throughout Ontario on a wide range of municipal / land use planning and development issues, such as development applications, appeals of by-laws for illegality, development charges and cost sharing agreements.

Piper's experience in land use planning and development is also an asset for expropriation proceedings and valuations. She provides practical advice to expropriating authorities and landowners to assist in an expeditious resolution of compensation disputes.
