Matthew's practice focuses on procuring, closing and delivering construction and infrastructure projects, including through public-private partnerships, collaborative contracting models and traditional contracting models.
His experience spans complex projects across several asset classes, including:

- healthcare facilities
- correctional facilities
- courthouses
- transit projects
- educational facilities
- mining
- energy
- community safety
Matthew advises on high-value and complex matters throughout every stage of the project lifecycle, from inception to operations, including claims and disputes during implementation.
Prior to joining BLG, Matthew worked at Infrastructure Ontario and advised on several transformational infrastructure projects in Ontario. In this role, he developed a deep understanding of the problem points, commercial considerations and practical realities associated with procuring, closing and delivering major projects.
Matthew previously worked in the commercial real estate group of a national law firm. While in law school, Matthew was elected by his peers to serve as an Editor-in-Chief of the Ottawa Law Review.
