Hanna maintains a broad litigation practice, with a focus on public and administrative law, complex civil and commercial disputes, class actions, and appeals. She advocates and advises clients in a wide range of industry sectors including e-commerce, technology, financial services, health, energy, land-use planning, transportation, and construction.
With a collaborative and analytical approach, Hanna excels in addressing legal and factual complexities, pinpointing critical details, and devising innovative strategies that shape litigation outcomes. Her practice embodies a commitment to thorough analyses, creative problem-solving, and navigating the intricacies of regulatory, procedural, and technical issues.
Hanna has appeared before all levels of Court in Ontario and has worked on matters before domestic and international arbitral tribunals, and the Land Tribunal of Ontario.
Hanna's background is in media, culture, and communications. Prior to joining BLG, Hanna worked in digital media production for New York's flagship public television station, WNET, and in marketing for an international transforming furniture company (aka murphy beds). In law school, Hanna was an editor for the McGill Law Journal (MLJ), and oversaw the MLJ podcast team.
