Mhairi drafts and prosecutes patent applications relating to biotechnology and pharmacology. She also conducts IP due diligence searches and provides freedom-to-operate opinions.
After graduate school, Mhairi co-founded a cancer therapeutics biotechnology company. She has conducted research in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, bioinformatics and genetics.
She previously worked as an editor at Nature Publishing Group, as a consultant to the National Institute of Health (National Cancer Institute) and as an adjunct professor at the University of Guelph.
