Patrick advises health care professionals and organizations on medical malpractice litigation, healthcare disputes, professional liability/negligence, regulatory issues and privacy.
Patrick appears in court and before administrative tribunals, including:
- Small Claims Court;
- Divisional Court;
- Superior Court of Justice;
- Consent and Capacity Board;
- Health Professions Appeal and Review Board; and
- College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Patrick assists with proceedings under the Public Hospitals Act and participates in mediations and negotiations, and responds to disputes before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Information and Privacy Commissioner, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and the Sports Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada.
