Austin is currently attending the Professional Legal Training Course and will commence his articles at the firm in May. Austin summered with BLG Vancouver in 2023 and assisted lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.

During law school, Austin worked as a research assistant for two McGill professors. He spent two years as part of the McGill Labour and Employment Law Club executive team, including a term as President in 2022-2023.

In his second year of law school, he volunteered for the McGill Legal Information Clinic and the Carrefour de ressources en interculturel, where he provided bilingual legal information to members of the Montréal community.

During the summer after his second year, he worked as a summer law student at a professional regulatory body in BC, assisting with investigations and discipline. In his third year of law school, Austin completed a for-credit judicial clerkship under the Honourable Thomas M. Davis, j.c.s., at the Cour supérieure du Québec.

A native of Québec, he is fluent in both English and French. As a former student in McGill's transsystemic Faculty of Law, he is trained in both Common Law and Québec Civil Law.

Austin was specifically drawn to BLG's wide range of practice areas and national presence, and looks forward to working with the firm's expert advocates.
