As a Summer Law Student, Austin is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
During law school, Austin has worked as a research assistant for two McGill professors. He has also spent two years as part of the McGill Labour and Employment Law Club executive team, including a term as President in 2022-2023.
In his second year of law school, he volunteered for the McGill Legal Information Clinic and the Carrefour de ressources en interculturel, where he provided bilingual legal information to members of the Montréal community.
During the summer after his second year, he worked as a summer law student at a professional regulatory body in BC, assisting with investigations and discipline. Most recently, in his third year of law school, he completed a for-credit judicial clerkship under the Honourable Thomas M. Davis, j.c.s., at the Cour supérieure du Québec. A native of Québec, he is fluent in both English and French. As a student in McGill's transsystemic Faculty of Law, he is being trained in both Common Law and Québec Civil Law.
