Sami maintains a broad litigation practice with a focus on insurance defence and commercial litigation matters. He assists insurers, businesses and other clients with a wide range of disputes at various stages of the litigation process.
Sami has assisted clients with litigation strategy, liability and damages assessments, coverage issues and dispute resolution. His experience includes drafting pleadings, affidavits and coverage-related opinions, participating in questionings and mediations, and working closely with clients and counsel throughout the litigation process.
Sami was a summer student at BLG Calgary in 2023 and completed his articles with the firm. During his articles, he assisted lawyers in BLG's Business and Disputes groups on a broad range of matters.
Sami has demonstrated strong advocacy skills through his participation in competitive mooting, including contributing to a first-place finish at the National Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Law Moot in 2023 and receiving the Top Factum Award at the Wilson Moot in 2024 for excellence in written advocacy.
