  • Virtu Financial (NASDAQ: VIRT), a leading provider of financial services and products that leverages cutting-edge technology, in its sale of MATCHNow marketplace to Cboe Global Markets.
  • Represents and advises financial institutions and other financial services providers with respect to payment cards, outsourcing, reward programs, prepaid and white label payment cards, and payments systems matters.
  • Advises clients with respect to new mobile and online financial products and services including partnerships with financial institutions, FinTech organizations and other new and innovative financial services developments.
  • Represents financial institutions, telecommunications providers and major media companies in the procurement and negotiation of some of the largest outsourcing transactions in Canada.
  • Advises major grocery and clothing retailers on large-scale warehousing, robotics and logistics.
  • Negotiates international supply, export and manufacturing arrangements, including relating to smart cards, green technology and the automotive industry, and notably involving service providers and suppliers in India, China and Latin America.
  • Advises clients on licensing software, patents and trademarks; also counsels clients on introduction and exploitation of new products and services, including in the areas of business intelligence, green technology and cloud computing.
  • Lead counsel for The Beer Store in a long-term year, multi-million dollar outsourcing contract with CGI for the IT infrastructure for The Beer Store and its affiliates and distribution centres.
  • Lead counsel for the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in its outsourcing agreement with IBM Canada for IBM to assume responsibility for the management, operation, support and maintenance of CPPIB's technology infrastructure.
  • Lead counsel for a subsidiary of a major Canadian bank in its acquisition of private label credit card portfolios, and the launch of several private label credit and loyalty card programs.
  • Lead counsel for The Bank of Nova Scotia in the negotiation of a sponsorship agreement with the Calgary Flames for the branding of the Scotiabank Saddledome.
  • Lead counsel for a Canadian chartered bank on various offshore outsourcing arrangements for information systems, application support and maintenance, and call centre operations.
  • Lead counsel for a business process outsourcing provider in its seven-year agreement for credit card services for a major chartered bank.
  • Lead counsel for a leading smart card manufacturer in its manufacturing, distribution and development agreements with suppliers in China, Malaysia and Mexico.
  • Lead counsel for The Beer Store in the procurement of a multi-million-dollar customized robotic inventory management system for its primary western Canada distribution centre.
  • Lead counsel for Rogers Communications as co-counsel in all facets of the drafting and negotiation of its competitive procurement for a seven-year contract for transformative datacentre technology services.
