Elie’s practice focuses on bankruptcy, insolvency, and banking. He mainly represents financial institutions and other creditors in court proceedings related to the protection and fulfilment of their rights.
He also has experience in tax disputes, having served as a law clerk at the Tax Court of Canada. Guided by a strong interest in the business community, he favours a pragmatic and mindful approach when dealing with commercial considerations.
Prior to joining BLG, Elie worked at a regional firm where he acted in commercial litigation, including in shareholders’ and contract dispute matters.
