Daphne maintains a broad disputes practice, primarily focused on healthcare disputes and commercial litigation. She advises and represents a wide variety of clients within the healthcare sector in defending medical negligence lawsuits and class actions. She also represents commercial clients in shareholder and contractual disputes. She has experience working on complex trial and appellate matters and she is passionate about finding effective legal solutions for her clients.
Daphne has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Tax Court of Canada.
Prior to joining BLG, Daphne worked at the House of Commons in Parliamentary Committees, where she got to witness the legislative process firsthand and gained valuable knowledge about the inner-workings of Canadian democracy.
Daphne summered and articled at BLG before returning as an associate. She completed her law school education in French and is pleased to offer services in French.
