Christine Laviolette

Senior Associate


Christine provides advocacy and dispute resolution services to health care organizations and health care professionals. She specializes in civil litigation, mental health law and regulatory law. Christine acts for major corporations and start-up entities on a wide range of provincial and federal health-related regulations across Canada. She helps them to establish operations and ensure they are compliant with the applicable regulatory frameworks.

Within her practice, Christine represents hospitals, healthcare clinics and community care access centres and their employees, in medical malpractice and other civil lawsuits. She also advises forensic mental health facilities before the Ontario Review Board and on appeals of those decisions at the Court of Appeal.

Christine has appeared before the Court of Appeal, Superior Court of Justice and various boards and tribunals.
