Andrew's practice focuses on surety and construction law. He advises and represents sureties, owners, contractors, and other industry participants across Canada in bonding and construction dispute, as well as on contractual and risk management matters.
His surety experience includes defaults and claims of any size or complexity. He is a go-to advisor for all bonding issues and works with virtually all sureties doing business in Canada. A large part of Andrew's surety practice also includes navigating insolvency issues and pursuing rights of recovery.
Andrew is frequently engaged by new sureties entering the Canadian market and international sureties with Canadian exposure.
He also maintains a broad construction law practice, advising public and private owners, contractors, and subcontractors on project disputes and risk allocation. His work includes complex disputes as well as contract drafting and negotiation across all stages of the project lifecycle.
