As a Summer Law Student, Talia is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
Prior to attending law school, Talia received a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from the University of Manitoba.
As a law student, Talia serves as Co-President of the Black Law Students’ Association of Manitoba, and as Vice President of the Cultural Diversity in law Group. Talia has also volunteered with Canadian Civil Liberties Association through Pro-bono Students Canada, where she assisted with transcription and research for a bail and pre-trial detention report.
Talia currently volunteers with the University of Manitoba Community Law Centre, where she works directly with clients to provide legal assistance in the criminal context.
Talia chose BLG because of the sense of community and mentorship that exists within the firm. BLG not only stands out in their legal excellence, but in their sincere commitment to fostering growth as well.
Talia loves traveling, reading, and going to the movies. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring local restaurants and trying new things.
