As a Summer Law Student, Oliver Fenske is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
Prior to law school, Oliver earned a Bachelor of Commerce from MacEwan University. He built a career in marketing across the non-profit and recruitment sectors, working for offices in Edmonton and Calgary. Through Student Legal Services at the University of Alberta, he volunteered with the Criminal Law Project, assisting clients and appearing before the Provincial Court of Alberta. During law school, he freelances as a marketing consultant in the technology and government sectors, including Indigenous recruitment initiatives.
Oliver's business background shaped his interest in corporate law. He was drawn to BLG for its distinctive culture, one that pairs high professional standards with genuine collaboration and mutual support.
Outside of school and work, Oliver enjoys staying active, playing guitar and producing music, travelling, and working on his pickleball serve.
