As a Summer Law Student, Kathleen is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.

At the University of Alberta, Kathleen volunteers with the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic. In this role, she assists local entrepreneurs and startup companies with contract drafting and intellectual property related matters. During Kathleen’s first year of law school, she volunteered with Student Legal Services, offering support in the criminal division and appearing before the Alberta Court of Justice. She served as the Director of Wellness for the Law Student's Association and the first-year representative for the Mental Health and Wellness Committee. Currently, she fulfills the role of Student Coordinator for the Student Articling Committee.

Kathleen was drawn to BLG because of the firm's robust student development program. She was particularly impressed by the firm's commitment to continuously improving the student experience through effective feedback mechanisms with a focus on fostering success. Additionally, she was inspired to join BLG because of their collaborative atmosphere, where extending a helping hand is not only encouraged but considered the norm.
