As a Summer Law Student, Ella is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
During her first year of law school, Ella volunteered with Student Legal Assistance, where she conducted client intake and assisted individuals navigating a range of legal matters. Ella also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada’s Youth Criminal Court Mock Trial program, where she helped organize and lead an interactive mock trial for Grade 9 students to promote legal education and engagement with the justice system.
Prior to attending law school, Ella received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University. During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered in a psychology research lab and competed as a distance runner on the university’s track and field team.
Ella was drawn to BLG because of its strong emphasis on mentorship and student development, as well as its supportive and collaborative culture. She is excited by the opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers, gain exposure to a variety of practice areas, and continue building her legal skills.
In her spare time, Elle likes running, hiking, skiing, and travelling
