As an Articling Student, Jordan is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.
Prior to attending law school, Jordan received a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance with distinction from the University of Calgary.
After graduation, Jordan worked at Calgary Economic Development for three years. This included time with the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF). Jordan led OCIF’s pre-application screening process by conducting interviews with Calgary-based organizations, developed relationships with portfolio companies, and conducted research to develop additional funding avenues.
During law school, Jordan volunteered with Student Legal Assistance and the Business Venture Clinic where he gained interviewing, research, and drafting experience in civil litigation and small business matters, respectively. Jordan also competed in the Davies Corporate/Securities Law Moot.
Jordan worked in the Enforcement Division (Litigation) of the Alberta Securities Commission during his 2L summer, where he drafted written application submissions, assisted with file strategy development and execution, and conducted research on a variety of enforcement topics.
Jordan chose BLG because of the friendly and down-to-earth nature of the team, the diverse scope of work available at the firm, and the mentorship and professional development initiatives BLG is undertaking.
Jordan enjoys running and weightlifting, cooking, travelling, photography, and playing sports including golf, baseball, and slo-pitch. His current overarching fitness goal is to qualify for the 2028 Boston Marathon.
