As a Summer Law Student, Jordan is assisting lawyers on a wide variety of tasks within our Business and Disputes groups.

Jordan graduated with his Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance (with distinction) from the University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business. During his undergraduate degree, Jordan completed work terms at Enbridge Inc., Seven Generations Energy Ltd. (now ARC Resources Ltd.), and Calgary Economic Development (CED).

After graduating from the University of Calgary, Jordan worked full-time at CED on the Finance, EDGE UP, and Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF) teams. Jordan led the pre-application screening process for the OCIF team and conducted initial assessment interviews with Calgary-based organizations. Jordan also developed relationships with portfolio companies, and conducted research that was utilized in the development of additional funding avenues.

During Jordan’s first year of law school, he volunteered with Student Legal Assistance, where he conducted client intakes for civil matters, worked with volunteer lawyers to determine case strategies, and conducted research and drafted documentation for clients.

Jordan chose BLG because of the friendly and down-to-earth nature of the team, the diverse scope of work available at the firm, and the mentorship and professional development initiatives BLG is undertaking.

In Jordan’s spare time, he enjoys coaching and watching baseball, cooking, weightlifting, photography, and playing several sports including baseball, golf, and soccer.
